Post Tsunami Sustainable Livelihood program is implemented with the support of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in 3 clusters comprising of 17 panchayats and 91 villages of Parangipettai and Kumaratchi Taluks of Cuddalore District through District Rural Development Agency and Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women Welfare.

The program collected data related to population, SHGs, Village infrastructures, banks, NGOs, Panchayat level federations, artisans, persons paying house tax, etc. In addition, maps like village resource and vulnerability map have been prepared.

Based on the data the govt. has sanctioned Rs. 4.25 laks for 17 panchayats for developing the infrastructure facilities of the villages.
