PMSSS in partnership with Caritas India continue to implement the CMDRR project in Cuddalore district covering Pachankuppam, Nanamedu, Suthukulam, Gundu Uppalavadi Panchayats inclusive of 16 interior hamlets towards their development. The project is undertaken also in 5 coastal villages in the jurisdiction of Pondicherry Municipal limit. Through the project intervention, capacity of 3352 belonging to 170 People’s Organizations in the target villages got enhanced.

Disaster Preparedness training program was organised for the group members at Villupuram. Awareness were given on various preparedness measures to be adopted by individuals and family for different types of hazards like flood, cyclone, drought, etc., IEC materials containing safety measures for each type of hazards was explained to them.
