- Govt. of India, Directorate of Census Operations, for the first time in the history of Census involved Non governmental organizations in the capacity building programs.
- Accordingly 6 NGOs and 26 NGOs were identified at Regional and State level respectively. PMSSS was assigned as Alliance NGO to coordinate the capacity building programs at Tamil Nadu State and Puducherry UT level.
- PMSSS staff members have been appointed as National and State Level Trainers. PMSSS was able to build very good rapport both at state and UT level.
- The role of Alliance NGO was very much acknowledged and appreciated at all levels.
